Slings- The Benefits For You and Your Baby

Google

More and more parents are finding that they have more to do, and often with less time to do it in. The problem is no different for new mothers.

For many mothers, and even fathers, more parents are using baby slings, or child harnesses, that are mounted on their fronts.

The reasons are many, and I’ll summarise some of the salient points with using the various products below.

For some parents, they find the sling to be a reassurance for both themselves, and their babies, as they are both in close contact with each other.

In many cases, some parents argue, this provides a greater bonding experience.

Whilst some parents find the slings to be bulky, others adjust over a very short time, and some use the slings almost exclusively, and rarely use a stroller or pram.

At the end of the day, the choice is a personal one based on preference, but do realise , there are different styles to choose from, so you are bound to find something that is comfortable, and in your budget.

For many parents, apart from the close contact that the sling offers, it also offers the parents the opportunity do accomplish other tasks, while your baby is comfortably next to you.

Some parents may do housework, others may cook, and some even catch up with emails!

The list is almost endless.

Some parents have used the slings for many other tasks as well, like extra padding when they are in public areas, and don’t want to place a baby’s bare bottom in contact with a public surface.

I have even hear of one mum using her sling as an extra shopping trolley, when her kids were a little older!, and didn’t need to be carried all the time!

Some mothers have also mentioned that having one baby in the sling, has allowed them to have their hands free to hold the hands of other kids they have had with them, when crossing a road, and so on. Again, you are limited by your imagination.

At the end of the day, it’s important to find a sling that is able to be worn comfortably by you, and that is also of a high quality, so it’s comfortable for your baby.

Some mothers even report that they have used some slings as a shield when breastfeeding, and others have even breastfed their babies, whilst they were in the sling.

Again, this depends on the design and your preferences.

Many mothers also report a greater bonding with their babies, as they learn each others cues better, and sometimes, know when their baby is readyu for a feed, even before the baby starts crying for milk.

I have included links to two websites, where different slings are available, such as for Baby Bjorn baby slings and also a link for Baby Bundler baby slings.

Naturally, there are numerous other brands to choose from, but I thought I'd include a sampling here.

Please also find below, a banner for different places where you are able to purchase these products online as well.

I have also included a link to the Bub Hub, as this website seems to have a great deal of different items for your consideration, including many other types of baby slings.
